Court certified or sworn translators operate under the 71-498 Law of June 29 1971on court experts.

In France, only sworn translators are allowed to write a certified translation of a document which has a legal value in courts of justice or before any government service.

They can either be commissioned by the Court of Appeal to which they belong or translate documents for private individuals or companies.

Court certified interpreters are usually commissioned by the prosecution or by a magistrate during police custody, at hearings or on civil occasions.

Being myself a sworn translator and interpreter at the Pau Court of Appeal, I can work both from English to French and from French to English.

I propose quality professional translations of any type of document (CV, degrees, diplomas, contrats, agreements, letters, certificates, works of fiction, business documents, etc.)
